How to Write a Report on a Famous Person?

I Introduction

  • Use an attention grabbing statement, or startling fact to draw the reader's attention
  • Make sure you mention the following facts:

1- The famous person’s name.
2- When and where he/she was born/When and where he/she died

  • At the end, you can add if the person is still alive, or when he or she died.

4- Write three sentences about his life (his/her jobs, where s/he grew up, etc…)

  • Introduce your main points. You should have between three and five. Don't go into detail, this is just a broad overview. List them in chronological order, as to not get the reader confused.

II Main Body

  • Write separate paragraphs by answering the gollowing questions:

5- Why do you like this famous person? Why did you choose to write about him/her?
6- Why is he/she famous and how did this person become famous? Name three Major Accomplishments (movies, hit songs, albums, awards)
7- What is the best thing you like about him/her? (It could be a song, poem, etc…) and why?

  • Start each body paragraph with a specific topic sentence, so the reader knows exactly what you're talking about.
  • Give examples to support your topic sentence.

III Conclusion

  • Restate your three main points
  • Conclude your paper with a sentence saying the significance of the person. (e.g.: "..." was the greatest "..." of all time.) In some cases, this may be similar to your attention grabbing sentence used in the introduction.
