Task 1. Read the statements given below and comment on them. Say your guesses on what the film will be about.

I'm going to tell you the trick of this place. It's a story:
Once upon a time there was a powerful wizard who wanted to destroy the whole kingdom and to do this he poured a magic potion into the well from which all the citizans drank and he wanted them to taste it to go mad.
And the king, when he saw his people was terrified. He was preparing to leave the city, but the queen stopped him saying:
'Let us drink from the well and we will be the same as they are. And so they drank from the well of madness and they were immediately as insane as their subjects and so the king was allowed to continue his ruling in peace for the rest of his days'
So, learn to think as those around you think and you can pass through anything.

Reality is what the majority think it to be, not necessarily the best or the most logical,
but the one that has become adapted to the desires of the society as a whole.
Some things are governed by common sense, while others become fixed, until more and more people believe that's the way it could be.

In order to lose somebody, you must first experience authentic attachment.

Insanity is the ability to communicate our ideas. So, all of us are to one or another degree insane, but don't confuse insanity with the loss of control.
You have two choices: to control your you, and allow your real I to reveal itself.
The real I is what you are not and others make of you.

The majority of people who attempt suicide repeat their attempts until they succeed.
7.
The only remedy is AWARENESS of life, when you consider each day a miracle, which it is.

- Veronika always got good grades, had friends, nice people, always had good-paying jobs. We never had troubles with her. Never. She always made us very proud.

And I hate the jerks in my office who think the money they earn makes them the shit...And more than the anything I hate the zombies on the subway who have forgotten all of their dreams for the fact that they had any to begin with.

- You are shit crazy!!! You sell these patiants an optimistic belief that they are no different that people on the outside, because they are not different than you.

Look, if I have even little time left, there's so much I can do: I want to go to the beach, I want to see the ocean, I want to feel the send, I want to have a huge tako from my favourite tako stand, I want to walk to the Irish pub and I want to make an order... I've never done that...
I want to see my mum. I want to talk to her, really talk to her...
- Get some rest and converse some energy you have left.
- Doctor Blake, I knew I had to live. There's so much about myself that I don't know.
- Desire contradicts fear. These days almost all people have replaced their emotions with fear, and everyone has dreams, but only a few realize them then, makes coweds of the rest of us, even if the few are right.
- Go and have a rest! If everybody realized their dreams, this place would be empty.

- You know. I heard you last night playing the piano in the way I rarely heard before.
I recognized that you played with so much soul because you know you are going to die.
I thought...I'm going to die. Where's my soul? I lost it... The husband, the job and the house... I never had a courage to leave... And today I feel that again.
- I wasn't myself last night or maybe I really was. It doesn't make sense anymore.
It doesn't make any sense.
People go their whole lives searching for one moment like the one you had, never achieving it...
